Matthew Case’s love for fitness runs deep. As the son of a teacher and coach, he fell in love with learning and athletics at a young age. He’s trained with elite athletes and has coached at many levels. While attending Northwestern University, Matthew became a two-time All-American wrestler. His mother’s story of recovery has renewed his dedication to health and fitness and has inspired this book.
With over 25 years of health and fitness experience, Matthew Case has passionately assembled one of the most comprehensive approaches to strength training and nutrition for seniors. As a son of an educator and coach, he was raised on high academic and athletic standards and fell in love with learning and sports at an early age. Matthew attended Northwestern University and received a degree in music while competing on the varsity wrestling team. He became a two-time All-American, team captain, and learned the values of teamwork, leadership, and goal setting. It was there that he also discovered strength and conditioning training and later went on to coach athletes at many different levels. Matthew is currently EVP of HeartBridge Media, a television production company in Nashville, TN, and is first and foremost a husband to his beautiful wife and “daddy matt” to his three children.
His mother (Nancy) is the source of inspiration for this book and also one of the editors. Nancy battled several significant health issues that stymied her ability to enjoy a mobile lifestyle. She found her solutions in better nutrition and regular exercise. She is healthy again, energetic, and can now enjoy life to the fullest…especially her grandchildren. Both Matthew and Nancy hope that this practical book chock-full of exercises and enlightened by science, will help motivate others to achieve their goals for a better quality of life.
